IE Business School and BlueSteps, the executive career management service of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), have partnered to offer BlueSteps members an exclusive scholarship opportunity for the IE Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy.

Under the agreement, IE will provide two BlueSteps members, who apply and are accepted to IE, with scholarships of 50% off tuition fees towards the IE Executive Master in Positive Leadership and Strategy. The deadline for the scholarship application is September 14, 2012.

Sallie Mae^® is now offering IE students more choice and flexibility on the Smart Option Student Loan. Beginning with applications initiated on or after Monday, May 21, students attending IE will be able to choose from either a fixed or variable interest rate, in addition to the repayment option that best fits their needs.

Keep in mind there are no origination fees and there is no prepayment penalty for early repayment of the loan.

More than 150 postgraduate students from all around the world have benefited from QS scholarships over the past six years. And there are now plans to extend the scheme to undergraduates.

QS is the only publisher of global rankings to devote some of the income from associated conferences and other activities to help outstanding students. The QS Education Trust was founded in 2005 and now has funds of more than $1.2 million to support students taking MBAs and other postgraduate programs.

Recently during a market development trip to Ukraine, we met with several high potential candidates to discuss their profiles, motivations in choosing IE Business School and how they planned to fund their studies.  We met with 17 candidates in total, and most of the candidates we met with were very well prepared, and had a very clear financial plan in place.

Executive LLM: Top Option for Global Lawyers.

Since its launch in 2006 as Europe’s pioneering LLM program for working lawyers, the Executive LLM Program offered by Northwestern University School of Law and IE Law School offers graduate legal education that combines the Anglo-American common law and its application in European and international practice with management fundamentals vital to the practice of law for business clients.

This unique partnership between two of the world’s leading law and business schools makes it possible for participants to earn the Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Northwestern University School of Law and the certificate in Business Administration awarded by IE.

Continued Commitment: 50.000€ (US$65,000) in Scholarships for 2012-2013.

As part of both institutions’ commitment to training top international lawyers and corporate counsel at global organizations, 50.000€ has been made available in scholarships for the September 2012 intake of the program.  Individual scholarships are valued at up to 20% of tuition fees, and proffesional merits are the primary factor used when grants are being awarded.

Pasar un año al extranjero puede ser una muy buena oportunidad para no solamente captar nuevos conocimientos y habilidades, pero también puede servir para ampliar tu red profesional y para ver un poco del mundo fuera de América Latina.

Salió en el Universal recientemente un artículo titulado: “Ejecutivo definió ocho áreas de estudio que obtendrán divisas de Cadivi”, y abajo se puede ver el texto incial del articulo y acceder al artículo entero. Ese noticia será de interés para los candidatos venezolanos que piensen venir al IE para cursar su programa de posgrado.

“En la resolución publicada por el Ministerio de Educación Universitaria se establecen las áreas que podrán recibir divisas para estudios de pre grado y post grado en el extranjero. Entre estas se encuentran Ingeniería, ciencias del agro y del mar, ciencias de la salud y educación entre otras…”

One of the benefits of being an IE student who also obtains a Fulbright award is that you have twice the network: IE’s global network of 42.000 alumni in 112 countries, and Fulbright’s large network in the US and in several other countries worldwide.

Every year IE receives 3 Fulbright Scholars and as part of their time in Spain these students get to network with other Fulbright grant recipients half way through their program at what is called the Fulbright Midyear Seminar.  To see the video that captured key moments at seminar, check out the YouTube video here (11 minutes).
