Thanks to an unexpected and generous donation, a selected amount of scholarships is now available for Fall 2012 intake master programs.  Below you’ll find more information on the programs and scholarships available.  Contact information for the respective Admissions officers is also provided, so feel free to contact them directly.

Deadline: Take note that the deadline to apply for these scholarships is 28 September, and applicants must have obtained admissions to the program before the the scholarship deadline as well.

Take note as well that there are still scholarships available for the Master in Visual and Digital Media as well, and for more information on this program see the program web site here.

Master in Environmental Management (www.mem.ie.edu)

Description: Interdisciplinary training in four core areas necessary for career success: (1) Environmental Business, Economics, and Policy, (2) Environmental Science, (3) Professional Research & Analytics, and (4) Leadership.
Practical Experience: Consulting project conducted in conjunction with businesses, governments, non-governmental organizations or a new venture proposal.
Program Start Date: 9 October, 2012
Program Duration: 10 months
Language of Instruction: English
Scholarship Available:  Two grants worth 9.000€ towards the tuition fees of the program.
Balance of Tuition Fees: 10,200€ (including the contribution to IE Foundation)

Master in International Relations (www.mir.ie.edu)

Description: Professional development of the different areas of international relations in the private & public sector. Students are trained in fields that are key for international cooperation such as business, economics & geopolitics.
Program Start Date: 3 October, 2012
Program Duration: 10 months
Language of Instruction: English
Scholarship Available:  Two grants of 14,500€ towards the tuition fees of the program.
Balance of Tuition Fees: 15,700€ (including the contribution to IE Foundation)

International LLM (www.illm.ie.edu)

Description: the International LLM prepares you for a career in the international practice of law. The program provides comprehensive training in both international business law and European law and allows students to develop their soft skills and an international network of fellow students, professors, alumni, and legal professionals.

Description: Practical training in corporate communication strategies, with special focus on social networks, brand value & corporate social responsibility, among other key areas in communication trends.

The Science Without Borders mobility program, of the Government of Brazil, provides funding for priority areas of study, for students who want to study abroad.  While most areas are quite technical, two of the areas that could apply to IE master programs specifally include:

–  Biotechnology: GMBA+/EXMBA+ Specialization in Biotechnology
–  Prevention and Mitigation Technologies for Natural Disasters: Master in Environmental Management

Win a #IEgreen Challenge Scholarship worth 5.400€!

As we gear up for the October intake of the Master in Environmental Management, we are launching a regional challenge for all applicants, to provide another potential way to help them craft a financial plan to fund their studies.

This year’s challenge consists of tweeting your way to an attractive scholarship. The winner will receive a 5400€ scholarship applicable towards the tuition for the Master in Environmental Management starting October 2012.

Key details:

• Start Date: Thursday April 26, 2012 – 9h00 (Madrid time, GMT+1)
• End Date: Thursday May 10, 2012 – 9h00 (Madrid time, GMT+1)
• Mission: Tweet your reflections on environmental management (i.e. eco-innovation, green business, sustainability, green technology…). Use the hash tag #IEGreen so we can identify you
• Send to admissions.socialsciences@ie.edu the text of all your tweets.
• Important requirement: You must have started your online application to the program by May 10 in order to be considered. Access it by clicking here.

The winner will be the one with the greatest number of tweets, keeping in mind that the quality of each tweet will be evaluated. IE is launching this challenge in six regions (Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America & North America), but note that you will be competing only with those that reside in your region.
