IE Business School, in collaboration with QS TopMBA, has completed the selection process for this year’s IE Business School Scholarships for Women and the winners of the 22.500€ grants are two women professionals from Africa, both from Nigeria, who will be following the full-time International MBA.  The two grant recipients had exceptional profiles, not only from an academic and professional experience perspective, but also from a future potential perspective.  This year we had 44 candidates apply for these two grants.

QS is pleased to offer over US$1,200,000 (about 975.000€) in scholarship funding for selected applicants from around the world who have attended the QS World MBA Tour, amongst other fairs hosted by QS.

If you have attended or will be attending a QS World MBA Tour event and plan on studying at IE Business School in the 2013-2014 academic year, then you have until Thursday, 31st January 2013 to apply for next year’s grants.

Recent news on scholarships for women in BusinessBecause that talks about scholarships and inclusion at top business schools:

” This guide focuses on the special scholarship initiatives aimed at women who want to do an MBA. Figures reveal that more women are interested in attending business school and the percentage of women students who attend business school is on the rise. However, there is still an imbalance of sexes in boardrooms, on business school faculty and in classrooms.

Fortunately, b-schools are responding to this imbalance by making attending business school more appealing to women. Several of the top business schools have set goals to fill specific quotas for women students and are aggressively pursuing this through substantial scholarships or tuition waivers for women candidates.”
